Mission:
Mission 9: When the Stars Went Silent
Location: USS Denver
Timeline: 60 hours after SNAFU
-Intel Office-
Nix stared at the data at his terminal for a long moment before a slow smile crossed his face. He was staring at the Dominion game plan over the next seven months. Battle plans, troop movements with the numbers, ship movements with detailed ship information, and garrison details on all occupied worlds. This was HUGE!
He transferred the data to a PADDand locked his terminal. He tapped his com badge and said, “Lieutenant Doa-Hardin to Captain Nalam. I’ve uncovered some data that is urgent. May I speak with you in person? It’s beyond urgent I believe.”

Riandri sat in her ready room, drinking a now-cold cup of coffee as she read various reports from across the departments, when her combadge chimed.
After Lieutenant Doa-Hardin finished, she responded without pause, "I'm on my way Lieutenant." Setting down the cup, she let out a soft snort, "It cannot get any colder, I guess." Then made her way towards her old office in the Intel suite.

Once the com channel closed Nix went back to reviewing the data quadruple checking his work just to be sure. While it wasn't the whole battleplan 7 weeks was still huge. Not only that he was part of the mission to capture it. That was mindboggling given the Efrosian reputation for bad eyesight. He'd wrangled up some corrective contacts for this mission but they were less comfortable than his glasses. Maybe he wasn't used to them he admitted it to himself mentally.
As the thoughts crossed his mind he still reviewed the information yet again. It all matched up. He crossed his arms and leaned back into his seat looking over his corrective glasses. This was the biggest break he'd ever come across and he knew it. He hoped it was enough to make a difference.
Riandri stepped into the office and nodded towards Lieutenant Doa-Hardin, "What do you have for me, Lieutenant?" The continual work to get everything read has left you exhausted.
Nix smiled and handed the captain a padd. He said, "We did well. Seven weeks. Seven weeks of ship and ground movements, fleet strengths, troop strengths. They got over confident and now we've got a leg up as the humans say. The courier ship was destroyed so the Dominion has no clue what we have. I couldn't have dreamed much better of a result. "
"Really?" Riandri asked with a healthy dose of scepticism as she looked down at the PADD. "Have you passed this on to SFI? This could be what is needed to allow us to strike back."
"I sent them a preliminary report yesterday. I literally finished the final decoding, double, triple and quadruple checks before I contacted you. This is absolutely the biggest project I have ever tackled and figured it wouldn't hurt to wait a little bit longer to let you review the details," Nix said resonably as he offered a padd with the data on it for you.
Riandri took the PADD and gave it a quick glance, and raised an eyebrow as she canned the executive summary, "This could be huge. Run me through the top-level details now and I will review the report as a priority."
"They're consolidating their forces....Once they're confident in their garrisons on Betazed and Vulcan. Within one the next 6 weeks they're planning on attacking the Sol Sector. They're robbing Peter to pay Paul as the ancient terran saying goes," Nix states.
He pulls up a map of the Alpha quadrant. The Efrosian adjusts his glasses and points to a few points marked with Dominion emblems, "These two Ketrecel White refineries, this Jem'Hadar breeding facility and these two supply dumps are being left with token garrisons with weak fleet protection if any. We're looking to find a turning point......This is it. Additionally these are the planned fleet movements over the next six weeks."
The screen starts to animate with the planned ship movements. He grinned at the Captain, "While we can never rule out false information it's unlikely since they have no reason to believe we would ever capture this information without them finding out about it. Major Ming's plan worked flawlessly disabling the Hediki Class scout then destroying it before their transmitter was functional. No comm markers were left or launched either. So far as the Dominion knows it was a reactor breach or, at worse, we tripped across it and shot their asses out from under them as the Major likes to say."
The conversation goes on for another couple minutes. Once done the Denver's Captain heads out and Lt. Hoa-Harain sent the information as a tight beam severely encrypted packet group to the DS17 Intel Relay. Nix whispers, "Fly straight and true ya little buggers."
